Hiro Meeting Eve and Jolt part 2

“Wow, you’re really fast Hiro!” Eve said as she clung onto Hiro’s back as he ran at top speed through the forest in his symbiote form.
“Heh, thanks. But there are tons of Harmony members who are just as fast and even faster than me.”
“Really? That’s so cool! Harmony must be full of strong people,” Eve said “Hey, Hiro, you’re the first infected I’ve met besides myself.”
“Eh!? Really!?” Hiro gasped “That’s surprising. Um, how long have you been infected?”
“Hmm… Um, I think about a month now! Why do you ask?”
“A month!? Even if you haven’t met another infected you should’ve at least have come across a GG soldier or something?” It was then that Hiro noticed Eve tightening her grip on Hiro’s shoulder “Eve?”
“Hey, Hiro what kind of infected are there at Harmony?” Eve asked suddenly, obviously wanting to change the subject.
”GG must be a sore subject for her,” Okami stated.
”You’re probably right,” Hiro responded. Looking over his shoulder he can see Eve smiling brightly ”What a weird kid. She’s obviously uncomfortable with GG for some reason, yet she still smiles. Well, if she doesn’t want to talk about it, we shouldn’t force her,” Hiro thought returning his attention to the path in front of him. “Well, to answer your question there are tons of different infected, there are those infected with felines like yourself, insects, reptiles, and even dinosaurs.”
“Dinosaurs! Okay this whole infected maybe a bit out there but do you really expect me to believe that dinosaurs are alive today.”
“It’s true! In fact one of our generals is infected with a dinosaur.”
“No way! I’ve gotta see that!” Eve shouted excitedly.
“Well, Hang on! I’m gonna pick up the pace a little,” Hiro said as he sprinted even faster.

Hiro arrived at the Harmony Base with Eve still on his back. “Well here we are. You can open your eyes now.” Eve had closed her eyes earlier because she couldn’t handle how fast they were going. Her eyes lit up as she jumped on top of Hiro’s head “WOW! It’s like a Secret Base here!”
“That’s because it is a Secret Base! Now get off my head,” Hiro growled as he reached for Eve who had already dropped down onto the floor.
“Sooo… What now?” Eve asked.
“Hmm… I guess I should show you around and see if I can get you a place to stay,” Hiro replied as he led the way with Eve following, both reverting to their human form. And from behind them they were followed by their respective parasites, Jolt and Okami. “Tch, do you know how long it took to form a link with you!” Okami groaned annoying at Jolt.
”I’m sorry. I didn’t know that was what you were doing.” Jolt said nervously as he increased the distance between the two.
”What the hell is wrong with you?”
”I’m just a little scared. I can’t understand any of this,” Jolt said as he watched Eve being introduced to other members of Harmony.
“Your human doesn’t seem to be bothered.”
”She’s good at these sorts of things. She’s adventurous, always willing to try new things and meet new people. I’m actually a little jealous at how easily she can adjust to these things,” Jolt sighed as the two followed their human partners “Back when I first infected Eve, I was so scared and was freaking out! Eve was the same at first but in the end it was Eve who calmed me down.”
”Yeah, at first Hiro was freaking out about the whole thing too,” Okami said recalling the time he infected Hiro “But it wasn’t long till he accepted the situation.”
”Honestly, I’m afraid. But… I want to make Eve happy, especially after what happened that time,” Jolt sighed.
”Oh come on! I’m sure that little girl can’t blame you for infecting her.”
”That’s not what I was talking about,” Jolt sighed, and before Okami could inquire any more into the matter Hiro’s sudden discomfort, which Okami could sense, interrupted his train of thought.
“This kid has to stay in my room!?” Hiro gasped.
“Sorry, Hiro! We can’t just give a little girl like this her own room,” Eon said. “Besides, you seem like a trustworthy type of guy and she doesn’t seem to mind either.”
“But but… You can’t expect me to take care of her,” Hiro stated.
“Hey, I can take care of myself just fine thank you,” Eve said just before she and Hiro started arguing.
”Heh, Looks like the four of us are gonna be roomies,” Okami sighed as he watched the two humans argue.
”Looks like it,” Jolt said amusingly ”Seems Eve’s taking a liking to your human.”
”EH!? Okami gasped ”Hmph, well whatever. This way things might be more interesting with her around.”

This part of the story was gonna be more focused on both Eve & Hiro's interaction with each other. But then it somehow shifted to Jolt and Okami. Not sure how that happened myself. But didn't really turn out badly so I just went with it. I'll save the relationship with Eve and Hiro for another thing.
